Final Assessment
The ways that the growing up represents the Protagonist in the Monster Myers, first, the Protagonist are a black boy name called Steven, Steven is a 16 years old black boy, he is a teenager. Steven was live in Harlem. He don’t pretty sure who are he‘s dad, and he don’t know who are he is, so he was live with himself. Second, Steven is growing up in middle of the poverty, crime, and hopelessness. Steve Harmon finds himself on trial for murder after he is accused as acting as a lookout for the young men who actually commit a robbery at a Harlem drugstore and kill the store owner. The story is presented predominantly from his own viewpoint in the form of a screenplay and journal entries he writes, as he faces the trial and possibility of spending the rest of his life in prison. He often made the wrong choices, so theirs mood is very dark and filled with despair. Finally, Steven character had a lot of change. The major change in Steve's character happens in prison, where he realizes that trying to be a tough guy like King, Bobo and Cruz is a huge mistake. This might scare him straight for the rest of his life. The jury finds him not guilty. Did he participate in the robbery and therefore, according to the law, is he equally as guilty as the person who killed Nesbitt? So when he knew that after this event, his character had a lot of change. In conclusion, because Steven don’t know who he is, and don’t know who are he’s dad, also Steven is a monster, so Steven growing up in the middle of poverty, crime, and hopelessness. That’s why Steven’s mood is dark and filled with despairs. But in the prison, Steven character has a lot of change that made him different at his next life time.
